Hooray!!! The turmoil of the past 20 months is now over and the roadworks outside the Crossways Health Centre are completed at last. There are some positive and some negative effects of these changes. The positives are:
• We now have footpaths along the Terrigal Dr and Holmes Rd sides of our property which will help our patients who walk in or come by bus.
• The bus stops are now re-instated although the one that was at the bottom of our carpark is now on the corner of Holmes Rd and you will need to walk across Holmes Rd and then up to Reception.
• There is now a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights (pedestrian activated) right outside the clinic to help keep you safe as you cross Terrigal Drive.
• We no longer have dust, loud noise and vibrations happening day in and day out – just the hum of traffic as we had before.
The main negative is that we can no longer turn right into or out of Holmes Rd – left turn only. This means that if you want to drive from Crossways to Erina or Gosford you will need to go down to Brunswick Rd and come into Terrigal Dr from there to head west. If arriving from the east or from Charles Kay Dr you need to do a U-turn at the little roundabout at Duffy’s Rd and then change quickly into the left lane to turn left into Holmes Rd to reach us.
If you are confused about any of this please talk to one of our helpful receptionists.
