Dr Raya Grishina-Gunn
Dr Raya Grishina-Gunn graduated from the post-graduate medical program at Sydney University in 2002, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (physiotherapy) prior and working as a senior physiotherapist in SWSAHS. She has worked in the RAAF for 10 years gaining experience in occupational health, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, and travel medicine.
She has been working on the Central Coast since 2004. She joined the team at Crossways Health Centre in April 2018.
Raya enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in a number of areas and has done advanced training in these areas. These special interests include skin cancer medicine, minor surgical procedures, women’s health, mental health (including focussed psychological strategies), nutritional, environmental and lifestyle medicine, cosmetic medicine (including peels, anti-wrinkle injections and photodynamic therapy), and allergy testing.
Raya enjoys combining nutritional and lifestyle well-being with traditional medicine to help achieve the best health outcomes for her patients. She is involved in teaching and examining the next generation of GP’s through the RACGP and GP Synergy.
Dr Sanil Patel
Dr Sanil Patel joined us at Crossways in February 2018.
Sanil graduated with Masters of Pharmacy (Hons) in the UK in 2002, and then MBBS in 2008 also in the UK. He has worked in various hospitals in the UK and in Australia since graduation. Sanil is passionate about providing comprehensive thorough care for patients in a holistic manner.
Dr Margaret Henderson
Dr Margaret Henderson has been in general practice in Terrigal for over 30 years. Her experience includes many years working in the UK (in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Anaesthetics), the Sydney Children’s Hospital and RPA.
Margaret has a passion for women’s and children’s health, obstetrics, sports injuries, skin cancers (she also works at the East Gosford Skin Cancer Clinic), aged care and travel medicine. She shares the visits to local nursing homes with Dr Barry Earp.
Margaret is a keen traveller and has trekked in the Himalayas.
Dr Barry Earp
Dr Barry Earp has been a GP in Terrigal since 1979 and enjoys the broad scope of general practice, caring for people of all ages. He has a wealth of experience in paediatrics, with a special interest in Cystic Fibrosis. He also has a strong involvement in all aspects of aged care, including weekly visits to some of the local nursing homes.
As well as standard medical consultations, he performs a range of minor surgical procedures such as excision of skin cancers and suturing of lacerations. As a regular cyclist, Barry has an understanding of sporting programs and injuries. He is also keen to see an improvement in men’s health, both in prevention and management of illnesses. Barry is family man and enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Dr Arthur Adeney
Dr Arthur Adeney graduated in 1967 from the London Hospital Medical College. He worked as a missionary doctor in Tanzania for 12 years where he was in charge of the district hospital in Ngara. He then moved to Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre, a Tertiary Referral Hospital where he developed a special interest in anaesthetics.
On moving to Australia in 1982, he worked in a large surgery in Muswellbrook for many years before moving to the Central Coast where he enjoys all aspects of general practice. Dr Adeney has over 30 years experience and has a special interest in minor surgical procedures. He enjoys spending weekends with his family that includes 10 grandchildren.
Dr Susan Armstrong
Dr Susan Armstrong is a GP with over 30 years experience, and has been on the Central Coast for the past 16 years. Her main special interests are General Family Medicine and Women’s Health.
